The acoustic guitar is one of the most expressive and versatile instruments, found in music from Ed Sheeran to Oasis, folk traditions to modern pop. With its warm, natural sound, it’s perfect for everything from heartfelt ballads to lively strumming anthems.

In our lessons, students will:

• Build strong acoustic technique and fingerpicking skills
• Develop an extensive knowledge of chords and progressions
• Learn to read both standard notation and tablature
• Explore music theory and apply it in practical, creative ways
• Grow a diverse repertoire across genres including pop, folk, rock, and classical
• Gain confidence in performance and ensemble playing

Whether you’re strumming your first chords or refining intricate fingerstyle pieces, our acoustic guitar course is designed to nurture creativity and confidence. Lessons follow a structured syllabus, while still giving space for each student’s own musical interests to shine.

Graded Examinations (Rockschool RSL) are available for this course.
